StudyRUN terms of use

These terms apply to the StudyRUN game and its online service, published by Suranga Sandaruwan. By playing you agree to them. A parent or guardian must agree to them on behalf of a player under 18, and must be the person who subscribes.

The game

• StudyRUN needs a daily subscription to play. The subscription is described below.
• The questions are practice material for grades 1 to 11. They are not official examination content, and StudyRUN is not affiliated with the Ministry of Education, any school or any examination body.
• Once subscribed the game plays offline for up to three days at a time. Starting the subscription, checking it (at least every three days), downloading the questions and the online rankings need an internet connection.

The subscription

• Price: Rs 9.00 plus tax a day, shown in the game before you subscribe.
• How it is charged: every day, to the subscribed mobile number's prepaid balance or postpaid bill, by the mobile network: SLT-Mobitel through its mSpace service, or Dialog, Airtel and Hutch through the Ideamart service. The charge appears on your mobile account, not on a card statement.
• Who may subscribe: only a parent or guardian, with their own mobile number. Entering the PIN sent to that number by SMS confirms the subscription and your agreement to these terms.
• There is no free trial. Charging starts when the PIN is confirmed.
• Cancelling: in Settings > Subscription on the phone that subscribed, or at any time through your mobile network's own subscription controls. Cancelling takes effect within one hour and no further charges are made.
• Refunds: charges already made are not refunded, except where the mobile network's rules require it, for example a charge made without consent.
• Empty balance: when the balance is empty no charge is made and the game may stop until the balance is topped up. The subscription continues when it is.
• A subscription stays with the phone that started it. The mobile network does not send a PIN to a number that already has the subscription, so it cannot be signed in again on another phone, after a log out (Profile > Log out) or after a reinstall, unless Android restores the game's saved settings from a backup. Before you log out, reinstall or change phone, cancel it in Settings > Subscription if you no longer need it; otherwise cancel through your mobile network. Subscribing again with the same number after it ends starts a new subscription.
• Price changes: we will update these terms and the price shown in the game before any new price applies. If you do not agree, cancel before the new price starts.

Your in-game name

• Choose it carefully: it cannot be changed later, and other players will see it on the rankings.
• Do not use your full real name, contact details, or anything offensive, misleading or that impersonates someone else.
• We may rename or remove any name that breaks these rules.

Fair play

• Play the game as it is. Do not modify the app or use cheats, automation or any tool that changes how results are reported.
• We check results for plausibility and may remove runs, rankings entries or players that we believe are not genuine.
• The weekly rankings reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. The all-time rankings keep your best results.

Privacy

How we handle your information, including the subscription, is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes and availability

• We may change the game, the questions, the rules, the price (as described above) or these terms at any time. We will update the date at the top when the terms change.
• We may suspend or stop the online service or the game. If we stop the subscription service, we will end the subscriptions with the mobile networks so that no further charges are made.
• The mobile networks' own terms for subscription services also apply to the charges.

Liability

StudyRUN is provided "as is" for learning and fun. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from playing the game, from the online service being unavailable or reset, or from a mobile network's handling of the charges. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the law of Sri Lanka or of your country.
